In order to keep our patients and staff safe we are using guidelines set out by the Ministry of Health and the Dental Council of NZ to protect everyone. We will be operating normally during Alert Levels 1. During Alert Level 2 and 3 we will be seeing patients under protocols set out below. During Alert Level 4 we have to unfortunately cancel any existing bookings.

How we are protecting you during COVID-19

We arranged our waiting room to space people apart. At level 2 we ask that you reduce the number of family members that come visit with you. At level 3 we ask that only the patient enters the premises.
— Thank you.

Your health is our priority.

Even before the COVID-19 existed, we already had thorough sterilisation protocols which exceeded industry standards.
However, a couple of changes have been implemented to minimise the risk for both patients and practitioners even further.

For everyone’s safety, in Alert Levels 2 and 3:

  1. Alcohol based hand sanitisers will be provided for patients to use before and after they see us.

  2. We are undergoing a pre-screening protocol for everyone to ensure that anyone who is at risk of having COVID-19, or anyone who has signs or symptoms of illness, do not visit us, until they are officially healthy.

  3. Any patients who have ongoing symptoms or a detected temperature of above 37.5c will be asked to rebook after a period of 2 weeks.

  4. We arranged our waiting room to space people apart. At level 2 we ask that you reduce the number of family members that come visit with you. At level 3 we ask that only the patient enters the premises.

  5. Our staff will be wearing the appropriate protective equipment (PPE) to ensure that we are maintaining safe cross-infection protocols. With different procedures there will be a different degree of PPE which is used.

  6. At The Dental Practice, we have had additional training to ensure our protocols are thoroughly implemented.

If there is any other questions please feel free to contact us on 09-2728182

We appreciate your patience during this time and will look forward to seeing you back in the clinic.
